I recently redecorated my room, and I felt inspired by the bohemian style. I’m still adding details and looking for ideas, so I decided to share them with you!

The bohemian style is usually all about a combination of textures and colors that convey a relaxed and carefree feeling. It brings nature indoors and it creates a breezy vibe. It is my favorite style, and I hope someday I’ll not only have a bohemian styled room, but a bohemian home. ♥

Here are some of the ideas that can help you create this look:

Bohemian Home Decor

1. Natural Wood

Exposed wood colors and textures will warm up the space and give it a natural feel. Wood floors look amazing in a bohemian home. However, small details with wood textures can give it the touch it needs.

2. Patterned tapestry

Bohemian home decor MUST include patterns. At least it’s a must for me. Tribal patterns work great for tapestry and rugs. Mixed patterns are encouraged too!

3. Combined Textures

One of the things I love about bohemian home decor is the freedom to combine different textures and still get a cohesive look. Some of the textures that are often used for this style are faux fur, crochet, and rope.

4. Warm colors

Although the color palettes can vary a lot for bohemian styles, warm colors usually prevail. The amount of color is entirely up to you. Personally, I prefer white walls, and then add color through the items that complete the room.

But just to prove that cool colors can work too…

5. Lots of Cushions!

In almost every bohemian home picture I’ve seen, there are cushions. Lots of them. Go crazy with the cushions.

6. Bring nature in

Indoor plants are also a must for a bohemian home. They add a natural and breezy feel. Also, plants kind of make people happy, don’t you think? However, if you’re not really a nurturing plant person, I suggest that you get plants that are easy to care for, or even fake ones! And don’t forget, if you get real plants, they should be indoor plants that can survive without direct sunlight.

7. Pay attention to details

Adding little details that mean something to you are the things that turn your house into a home. Use the space in your walls for art that speaks to you. Fill up the space in your shelves with books that you like, and anything that makes you happy. There’s no right or wrong for a bohemian home. Just decorate to your own taste to make it unique!
