This brown paper bag gift wrapping looks so nice and it’s very simple to make. Perfect for those smaller gifts or food related items.
There are so many cute ways to decorate a paper bag for gifting. These are just a few options you might like!
Paper Bag Gift Wrapping
Let’s take a look at the materials needed for this project:
What you need:
– brown paper bag
– hole puncher
– ribbon or yarn
– permanent ink marker (optional)
– a piece of scrapbook paper (optional)
Step 1: Cutting
I started by cutting the top part of my paper bag because my gift was small and I didn’t want a lot of empty space on my bag. (You can of course skip this step if your gift is a bit bigger.)
Step 2: Folding
I folded the top of the bag twice to close it neatly. The folds measure about 1 inch.
Step 3: Hole punch
I made two holes on the folded part. The holes can be as close or apart as you want. I find it looks better when they are farther apart. (Just be careful you don’t make them too close to the edges!)
Step 4: Adding a ribbon
I attached a ribbon through each of the holes and made a small bow.
And it’s finished!
Now you can attach a gift tag if you’d like.
You can also draw on the bag with a permanent ink marker, or write a nice short message on it.
Take a piece of scrapbook paper and attach it underneath the fold. (You can make some holes in it so that it fits together with the folds, or you can glue it right under the holes in the bag.)
I hope you liked this paper bag gift wrapping. Remember to keep it simple, keep it creative, but most of all, have fun!
