Check out the products that made the list for my September Beauty Favorites and why I love them!
This post will hopefully be the first of a new monthly series which will be called Beauty Favorites. Every month I will pick a few beauty products that I have tried and loved during that month. Some may be brand new products that have just hit the stores, and others will just be less recent products that I had never given myself the opportunity to try before.
Nevertheless, I will make sure that they are all Beauty Favorites to me, which means that I have sincerely loved them and I have included them in my daily/weekly Makeup, Hair or Nail routines. Since they will be chosen according to my taste and beauty needs, please remember that what works for me may not necessarily be what’s best for someone else. My hope for this series is just to encourage others to try new products that might turn into their own Beauty Favorites!

Beauty Favorites: September
1. Oliology Coconut Oil Dry Shampoo
This product claims to revive dull hair by absorbing excess oil and odor between washes. And you know what? That’s exactly what it does. Don’t you just love when products keep their promises?
I have the curse of having naturally oily hair, and washing you hair everyday is not ideal at all. This products saves me from the time and hassle of having to wash my hair to avoid getting an oily look. It pretty much leaves no white residue, which makes it different from other dry shampoos. Also, it has a fresh, “coconutty” scent and is not too overpowering, like other similar hair products.
I bought it for $7.99 at Marshalls.

2. Jordana Sweet Cream Matte – Liquid Lip Color
Matte liquid lipsticks have been part of my personal Beauty Favorites for quite a while now. However, this Jordana Sweet Matte Liquid Lip Color is one of the best formulas I’ve tried. It is very soft on the lips, and doesn’t dry too quickly, so you have time to fix any mistakes. Also, when it dries, my lips don’t feel chapped or crumbly. It is quite durable, even after I’ve had something to eat or drink.
Here’s what it looks like on me:
The color in the picture is called Tiramisu, and I got it from Kmart for approximately $5.99.

3. Tarteist Lash Paint – Mascara
I got this mascara in my previous Ipsy Glam Bag, and I love it! Tarte is known to be a high quality brand, and this mascara lives up to its reputation. The formula is great, it doesn’t form clumps, and it makes my lashes look super long. I specially like the type of spoolie, or brush, because I find that flexible bristles work best for me.
The full-sized product is available at Ulta for $23.00.

4. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Another products that keeps its promises! The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, claims to be able to remove makeup and clean your face without the need for rinsing or harsh rubbing. One cotton cleansing pad is usually all I need to remove all my makeup. My skin ends up feeling refreshed, and it doesn’t leave any oily residue like other makeup removers!
The one on the picture is for waterproof makeup, but there’s also one for regular makeup for those who don’t usually wear waterproof products.
I got mine from Kmart for about $8.99.

5. H&M Nail Polish
Here in Puerto Rico, H&M opened its first store this year! And fortunately for me, this month they opened a new store closer to where I live. So I am just discovering these awesome little nail polishes, which have made me wish I had one of each color.
I currently own two; the glittery aquamarine color is called Bedazzled, and the satin finish one is called Copper Rose. The colors alone are enough to make me swoon! They have a great flat brush, which makes them easy to apply, and they don’t go on streaky or anything. They are not super long lasting, but that’s ok for me. I still love them!
Their current price is $5.99.
